Queer life in Berlin isn’t confined to a single neighbourhood. It takes place all over the city – even in places you might not immediately expect. Pankow and Lichtenberg embody precisely this diversity beyond the well-known trendy hotspots.

With this new queer neighbourhood guide, we want to show that north Berlin is queer too. Here, people live, celebrate, create, discuss and stand up for one another. We showcase queer-friendly spots in culture, shopping, dining, nightlife and beyond – places that embody openness and make diversity visible.

This guide invites you to explore new paths, (re)discover your own neighbourhood, or make a conscious trip to the north. At the same time, we want to help ensure that Pankow and Lichtenberg are experienced by everyone as diverse, open and safe places.
