Arnimplatz

The Arnimplatz was built from 1905 to 1906 as a town square with a park to counteract the lack of recreational areas in Prenzlauer Berg, where many working class families lived in confined spaces. So that was necessary.
The green area is named after the poet Achim von Arnim, who became famous for his collection of songs "Des Knaben Wunderhorn". Von Arnim is represented with his wife as a sculpture by the sculptor Michael Klein on the square, which is today a monument on which neighbors love to meet to the garden.
