The betrayal?!
Legends of the November Revolution
The exhibit, which is being shown in the Sebastian Haffner Cultural and Education Center, utilizes seven of Sebastian Haffner’s theories to address common questions concerning the history of the November Revolution and confronts the recurrent or oft-cited legends associated with these historical events.
Fifty years ago, the journalist Sebastian Haffner published his pugnacious theories on the importance and impact of the November Revolution of 1918 in a series of articles. The scope and interpretation of these theories are still a matter of controversy today. Over time, nume-rous legends about the revolution were established, criticized, and then dismantled. One-hundred years of reception history demonstrates the changing evaluation and assess¬ment of the events and continues to shape memory culture to this day.
