The betrayal?!
Legends of the November Revolution
The exhibition shown in today's Culture and Education Centre Sebastian Haffner thematises and discusses central questions on the history of the November Revolution on the basis of seven theses by Sebastian Haffner and deals with the recurring or traditional legends on the historical events.
Fifty years ago, the journalist and publicist Sebastian Haffner published a number of articles on his controversial theses on the significance and impact of the November Revolution of 1918. To this day, the scope for action and interpretation of its course is controversially discussed. Numerous legends have been established, criticized and dismantled over time. 100 years of reception history show the changing evaluation and assessment of events and shape the culture of remembrance to this day.
