OPERNFEST at the Theater im Delphi
International Festival of Young Opera Singers in Berlin
Experience opera differently. The new generation of performers presents operas at extraordinary venues in Berlin. The OPERNFEST is a summer festival of popular operas. It is a school and exchange of experience for young talents from 27 different countries. The extraordinary programme with international cast and great productions promises an opera experience of a very special kind. Also because as a spectator you are right in the middle of the action. Sometimes the stage is only a few centimetres away from you, sometimes it suddenly changes position during the performance.
At every second performance there is the possibility for visually impaired people to experience the "opera to touch". The stage design is explained in a guided tour before the performance. Visitors can touch the costumes and talk to the performers.
The OPERNFEST is hosted by the Berlin Opera Academy.
